Good Compressor

Here goes. I received the compressor via UPS and both metal bases where the rubber feet are installed were both slightly bent with the paint chipped off on one of them. I took pictures and called SEARS to report my findings. The customer service representative was kind and courteous and she gave me 10% extra in reward points but what I should have done was requested a free protection plan. I read the manual and completed the oil less compressor break in. The following day I turned on the compressor and it seems to run normal. As a newbie to mechanics, I purchased the 3 tool craftsman impact set but I did not pay attention to the minimum CFM's to run the 1/2" impact ( impact 4.6 cfm @ 90psi) (compressor 4.3cfm @ 90psi). So what I did, is increase the regulator to 110-120 and the impact worked just fine. Just pay attention to the CFM requirements for the tool you plan on using. The craftsman compressor is perfect for nail guns, inflating tires, light mechanic work, possibly light painting and removing lug nuts (NOT for COMMERCIAL USE). I really like the size and weight and fits inside my shed quite comfortably. Its loud but not extreme. I would recommend this compressor to others as long as the potential buyer pays attention to the CFM reuiremetns of the air tools they plan on using. Since it's less than a week old, I will try and write a followup piece and let customers know if this compressor is reliable and worth the money. Thank You!

Terrible Customer Service

Item was received damaged. Sears representative says I need to pay to have it shipped back and no shipping label sent. Second call to Customer Service: said that a manager would contact me when UPS is arranged. No call back. This is not the Sears that I am used to.
