maintenance nightmare

After 10.7 hours it was running on 1 cylinder, the rocker arms (valves) were totally loose on one cylinder. I called for service and was told I had to pay $130 for the person to look at it. I asked what part of valves not working was not a warranty issue. I took it to a local Husqvarna dealer who got it running fine, cost $120. I used it three times this spring and now it will only run with the throttle wide open. There is obviously a carburetor problem with this engine as that was part of the original issue. Sears does not honor their warranty. They have lost a customer for the rest of my life and I have been a Craftsman customer for over 30 years.

3200 craftsman mower tranny problem

|

I bought Craftsman 3200 in 2014, after 130 hours of use "bullet proof" transmission (GT Element V) leaking oil. I cut small amount of grass and pulled small lawn trailer, no ground contact implements. Don't know if it can be repaired or should wait for break and replace. Not California only model

The salesman just made stuff up to sell it....

|

Was told you could haul heavy loads, you can't. was told you could use ground scraping attachments and other tiller type attachments, you can't.Was told I could attach a dozer blade, I can't. Was told that the cutting deck lifted up 10" to cut large weeds this is an out right lie found out later that all craftsman mowers only go to 4" . I found all this out only after getting it delivered and reading up on it since the salesman couldn't find the information while I was at sears. If I didn't have to clear the weeds the day it arrived I would have returned it, **** I would have spent the extra money to get the one I really needed, don't know why he sold me the cheaper one that is nearly useless to me, I'm sure it's great for cutting grass only I have NO GRASS

It is a powerful tractor and runs well.

|

I got a deal on this lawn tractor. I got it in the fall of 2014 used it once so far very happy with it, the power s awesome compared to the Polan 19hp I had and don't miss the handle for the speed control it works like a car. I read some reviews before I perched it and it sounded like it was their first tractor, well anyway did not find any of the problems they had. My wife really enjoys driving it and that's a big plus. I sujust take your time and learn how to operate it. the first time you drive it, it will open your eyes up wide. it s the response it has to the power, so take your time. Enjoy
