I have had this drill for about a month now and it has performed well. I like that it is more compact and balanced than the ten-year old C3 model it replaces while not sacrificing on power. The metal chuck is a nice feature when many other brands only use plastic and the fit and feel of the drill are on par with other brands offerings. I used this drill to drill pilot and 5/8" holes in cold rolled, 1" round stock in low range with minimal effort. The only complaint I have is the lack of bit holder in the handle and a bubble level like the older models have. However, if you want a decent drill at a great price, this really is a great buy, especially if you have points to use. This is a nice addition to my other 20V tools.
I have used this drill quite a bit since I purchased it in February of this year. Two issues which I do not like. 1. Drill chuck loosens during operation. I have tightened it as tight as I can hand tighten. But the drill chuck will not lock on drill bit. I sounds like it is ratcheting but within just a couple minutes - sometimes within a couple seconds the drill bit loosens in the chuck while in use. I had to drill a lot of holes today and got so frustrated with loose drill bits that I rented a hammer drill from the hardware store to finish the job. 2. with the standard battery that came with this drill - the drill is very top heavy or very easily tips over - bad balance - may improve with a heavier duty battery.. I am going to return this item.
I bought it Feb 1 2020 to have when I needed it, just used it the other day (4-28-20). I am so disappointed in it, the chuck will not stay tight and the batteries aren't the same as the other 20v Max. I would like to return it, only used it to drill one hole and it took 20 minutes!!!!
Very good drill has the power I'm looking for in the battery last
