Too many small bits and pieces, needs more wrenches and bigger sockets for the 1/2" dr ratchet. Other than that it is a great starter kit and of course great quality with lifetime warranty. I would recommend the 192 piece for a better variety of sockets and wrenches. I returned the 220 and got the 192 pc.
I was very saddened to see that the forging of Craftsman tools has been moved to China. I compared the 12-point sockets to a Craftsman set that I have had for a few years, and I saw that the Chinese made items were inconsistent in shape, and they have already rounded off a couple nuts. Mind you, this is an apples-to-apples comparison. The ratchets don't work as smoothly, and although I haven't taken one apart, I am going to guess they have fewer teeth, because you need a longer swing to advance the nut. Not helpful. Along the same theme, we also purchased two sets of combination wrenches on this trip. The SAE were American made, the metric were Chinese. The Chinese forged wrenches have considerably larger heads, and aren't going to fit easily in certain applications where space is tight. They, too, are a huge disappointment. We purchased these tools for my wife to use in her new job. I regret the purchase, but she needed them the next day. We will not be buying any Craftsman hand tools from this point forward, and I have begun to acquire gently used tools of reliable manufacture to replace our recent purchase, and as I do replace them, I'm going to dump the new ones on craigslist. Nice job, Sears. You have exported jobs, brought in inferior product, and alienated a customer of nearly 40 years.
I bought two of these when they were on sale ....one for me and one for my grandson
Really great tool kit. Has most of what you need. The quality is outstanding.
Did some early Christmas shopping! Craftsman Club had a great price on this set and I couldn't pass it up. My Sweetie's son will be surprised!
