Great Plow

Bought this plow and used it for most storms this winter. Anything over 12 inches it has trouble with, anything under and it's like a tank. Took 2 hour to assemble, but if you take your time and have some basic mechanical knowledge it goes very easy. I also us a Craftsman snow blower and I would recommend having both when the big storms hit.

This is a scam....

Completed my order on September, delivery scheduled by early October, but was delayed and was rescheduled to October 31st. Now it show that delivery day is on November 11. This is a scam... I can't cancel my order online and when called sears they keep transferring me back and forth and put me on hold on the phone forever... this is a scam....I need my refunds...

Great plow for the price!

Had the 48" for 12 years, finally gave out so got this 42" 2 weeks ago. Completely different design, a lot easier to use and don't notice the 6" difference. Real easy to raise and lower. .Used 3 times already, very pleased with it!.

Once I figured out how to assemble it it was great

It is well worth the money. Did a outstanding job of moving snow. Easy to handle from the lawnmower tractor.

Will do the job cost effectively

Installed last week and used it first time today on 5 inch snowfall. Installation on a 917-series tractor is straightforward. However, the bolt-on frame that is intended to stay on the tractor when the plow is removed at the quick release pins makes my front ground clearance about 3 inches. That is not going to work in my yard during mowing season. I'm keeping it, but will have to remove that frame after the winter and reinstall next year. Once installed, it has all worked pretty well. The control lever feels like it could bend if you overload it, so I'm being somewhat careful, but it worked well today. Performance was as expected given the power and weight limitations with a lawn tractor. I used with the wheel weights and chains. I did get stuck once, but that was my fault. It plowed the 5 inches on an extended driveway using the angle with no issue. Waxing really made the snow slide off. I was concerned that as the blade loaded up the front wheels would push sideways, but it all went well. I was also able to move the berm at the street from the big plows with no issue. Overall I'm very happy with performance and would have given 5 stars if the design of the "permanent" frame would have allowed me to leave it on all the time.

great plow

I bought this hoping it would work great as wasn't quite sure about it with the size of it, this plow works awesome, wasn't to bad putting together they give you extra brackets and bolts depending on which lawn tractor you have. directions aren't to bad to follow. jumps around a little bit. but all in all about 2 hours start to finish to install and thats without installing one before. tested so far seems to push snow great. shipping on the other hand ticked me off when it showed it would be here one day then it changed a day or 2 before and pushed out another week. only reason for the 4 stars
