Wife & I are severely limited to the amount of bending/lifting we can do. We have to force ourselves to do yard work such as raking. We were considering hiring someone to help with the raking & bagging on our roughly 1 acre yard. I figured the cost of the bagger vs. hiring someone would be close to the same, so decided to give the bagger a try. GREAT CHOICE! There must have been some serious design changes over the past couple of years, because unlike some of the complaints in previous reviews, I have to say that this baby went together flawlessly. It almost put itself together, that's how easy it was. Here's a clue if it doesn't go together for you ... Read The Manual! It's not rocket science. It fits well on my LT 2000. We lined the bins with 39 gallon yard bags. Wife raked oak leaves from under the trees & shrubs and I drove over the piles with deck settings between 3 and 6 depending on how much height I needed. I gave the lawn a quick once-over, checking the chute & bins frequently. No Clogging. The left bin fills first then the overfill goes into the right bin. If the left bin started to overfill, I would simply push some of the leaves/yard waste from the left bin to the right. Simple. Remove & replace bags, and we are set. We filled six bags in less than an hour (usually a full day exhausting job). Our yard has never looked better. We can't wait to get out and do some more. $300 seems a bit spendy, but it certainly saved us in the long run from strained backs and wicked bad muscle pain.
Cheap plastic not very durable. Chute became separated from the mower within two month because mounting studs vibrated loose causing bungee connector to come off. SEARS DID NOT STAND BEHIND THE ONE-YEAR WARRANTY. I spent three hours on the phone with customer service, parts, and warranty people and the end they told me to take it to a Sears store. Took it back to the place I got it, and they said they would not honor the one-year warranty because I did not buy the extended warranty agreement. They told me to take it to a Sears Parts center. Not happy with treatment. Might be my last major purchase from Sears after $5000 worth in the past three years.
The cover will not close securely over containers
Love it! Should have bought this a long time ago
The bagger works good BUT only one bin fills up as the shoot to the bins faces only one bin and doesn’t fill the other bin much, is disappointing that way, should have one larger bin instead of two, would work better ...
I had one on my last mower an it was still in great shape when i sold the mower after owning it for 10 years.
after taking it out of the box everything was there and look great.
attaching it to the mower was easy an fast
Finally got around to getting something to pick up our leaves instead of raking. It does the job however if you have thick leaves it will take awhile to pick them up as the bags fill up quickly. Also the bins are plastic and were warped when we got them out of the box making it hard to fit all the pieces together.
