Really nice little set. Photo is wrong

The case it comes in is very compact, which makes it convenient. Well put together selection. ALL SOCKETS are 12-pt. The photo is wrong - it shows the 1/4"-drive metric sockets as 6-pt. Having the set in-hand now, I can confirm that photo is wrong and the listing on the PDF is correct.

Not worth the listed price

I bought this item just two days ago for $19.99. I see it is listed at $59.99, and they are offering a $20 discount and selling it for $39.99. That is ridiculous and Sears is conning you if they are offering it for anything over $20. And, even at that amount the set isn't very good.

Nice Ratchet/Socket Set - Functional but Strange

This is a peculiar product. It represents the first time I have ever seen 12pt. 3/8" AND 12pt. 1/4" drive sockets sold together in a small set. There doesn't seem to be any advantage to this setup since the 1/4" drive sockets are largely - but not entirely - the same size as the 3/8" sockets. Based on experience, I would have expected to see the smaller sockets in 6pt. and the larger ones in 12pt. (In fact, if you look at the product picture, that is exactly what you do see - which makes me suspect that the end-product wasn't the original intent.)
The parts list is available as a .pdf in the description. So, I already knew about this peculiarity before buying. And, since the 'blowout' price was excellent, I bought it anyway. I purchased the set for indoor jobs and do not recommend using for engine work or on rusty bolts since using 12pt. sockets in anything less than 1/2" drive increases the odds of bolt stripping. Everything has performed well to date, and I haven't had any part failures. The 45T ratchet is a little heavy but works smooth enough and doesn't bind. The 3" extender and 1/4" adapter were nice additions as well.

Great set with a Craftsman name attached!

Very nice set for my husband who was excited to get it. He has more than enough sockets from 60 years of buying them, but as he said you can never have enough.

Good set for a good price

I bought these on sale. They work just as they're supposed to. The Craftsman lifetime warranty is a nice feature too. Now that so many Sears stores are closed, I'm glad that the craftsman brand was sold. That big blue home improvement store will honor the warranty if any issues come up.
