Great purchase

Love this product and the price wasn't as bad as I was expecting. We had our last craftsman for 19 years....it still runs just a few issues of old age. Excited to have the gas pedal as well.

On our 3rd one and haven't even used it yet!

The first one arrived, we checked the oil, added gas and then tried to start it up...Nothing! It would just make an awful grinding noise. Sears came out and replaced it with a new one. This time it started up just fine, but as soon as you turned the choke off, it would stall. The next day we went out and it won't turn over at all...again! Sears is now sending out a third one...if this one doesn't work properly, we will be buying a different brand with a different engine!

Garbage!

|

A piece of junk! Breaks down twice in under 2 years. The frame rattles like a toddler's toy, and the deck adjusting lever broke too. No wonder this excuse of a company went bankrupt! Pathetic! Warranty is ****! What a sad company.

Terrible whats worse is sears warranty service

|

if you have more than 2 acres do not buy this . I will never buy from sears again the warranty is terrible - I got mower in2016 must of called service at least 10+ times -have to wait over 2 weeks for someone to come out - then they order a part and I have to wait another 2 weeks for him to come back - in the mean time I have no mower and grass is 1 ft tall. STAY Away! This happens every time . the mower has been out of commission at least 6 mths of the 2 years I've had it. Mostly due to sears warranty / and dispatch dept.

Delivered quick. Delivery crew took the 15 year old YS 4500 that give up the ghost. Put gas in it and it fired right up. This thing is fast.

Riding Mower

Pleased with this mower. Well designed & constructed. Would like to have clutch engagement for blades. Vibration when blades engaged is excessive.

Would NOT buy again!

|

I had the previous model Craftsman for 7 years without any issues so when I bought a new tractor, I went right back to the Craftsman.I bought this one in May 2017 and had to have the trans axle replaced in Sept 2017. The mower would no longer allow for a smooth change from forward to reverse or vice-versa and eventually, it just stopped allowing me to go in gear altogether, the pedal would no longer move. The technician replaced the entire trans axle in the unit and said that he has seen this issue more and more since Husqvarna took over the manufacturing of the Craftsman mowers. Now it's December, 2017 and the exact same thing is happening so a tech is coming tomorrow to start the entire process once again. Other aspects of the tractor have performed well but if I could get my money back, I would return this mower tomorrow!
