Love Craftsman tools my whole garage is full of them. This tool set is a great to add to all my other tools but, who ever designed the tool box you failed that is not Craftsman quality. Come on the little plastic doors to hold the trays in are a joke right? you would have been better off putting a metal strip down the middle that locks everything in place when you close the top lid and latch it. Think when you redesign the new box with my idea you should send me one it would make a life long Craftsman guy very happy.
First tool used was the 1/4" ratchet. Well, tried to. It would tighten but the ratcheting function would not work to loosen a nut. It took almost 20 minutes of working the lever back and forth to get it unjammed. The stud that the sockets attach to just wobbles around in the handle. I don't think there is any lubricant in the mechanism. I am afraid to use the rest of the tools and am considering returning the whole kit. This kit is definitely not up to Sears standards (unless Sears has dramatically lowered their standards). I wish I still had my first Sears tool kit that I bought as a 18 year old soldier in 1971! Now those were tight, quality tools. Sears, shame on you!!!!!
Bought few tools on sale online but what a shame that sears don't tell you but only after you pay that you will get your items after more than a month. Just 9 piece socket set in tools and a tool set. I see now in my orders the updates to be available for pickup>>> Estimated In-Store Date
Jul 4, 2018 . And even that is not for sure.
These have the Quick release 36 tooth ratchets. I hate these. I bought some separate 72 tooth ratchets that work much better.
This is one of the rare sets that has a full set of deep and shallow 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch metric 6 pt sockets.
It was worth it for that. This pretty much has everything you need.
A great selection of tools that for the sale price I just could not pass up...Usual Craftsman quality tools...PEACE!!!
Spent too much
