Yesterday I stood on this as I was hanging curtains for my niece. Rugged handle and latches, best plastic tool box I have ever had. I am looking at buying some for Christmas gifts.
The hinge broke 45 days after purchase. Cheap plastic. Sears told me that warranty is only for 30 days. Apparently they don't have much faith or confidence in their merchandise. Suggest that you not only run from Sears products, but boycott the company all together. The only thing worse than their products, is the total lack of customer service. No wonder they are whistling past the cemetery and are forecasted to file for bankruptcy after the holidays. Could not happen to a worse company. The shame of it is that the corporate leadership has destroyed the company, selling of their biggest asset (Craftsman), cut-off ties with Whirlpool, and when you go to a Sears these days, there is little or no inventory because their suppliers do not want to give them credit. So I guess my problem with the tool box is symbolic of a much larger problem at Sears. Al Germi, Miami, Florida
