I got this set while on sale at Sears and have been very satisfied with is thus far. It's got all the essentials that I need - metric and SI alike. Since we drive Hondas, the metric were particularly important to me, and I can use the SI tools around the house, so it's a great balance. The fact that Craftsman has lifetime warranties has always given me piece of mind as I have even gotten parts replaced that suffered great stresses (extensive torque, etc.). If you find yourself working on cars, you may want to also add some wrenches as the highest metric wrench is 18mm. I had to get a 22mm to replace my O2 sensor recently.
Purchase this item last Thursday July 2, 2010. I've bought craftman tools since i was 19, now I'm 59. Very please with the tools. Not so with the tool box. after Approx 45 minutes of putting tools in correct location, and was moving tool box to my tool room. The molded tool box came apart. Its like a snap together box. Had to glue box together to keep it together. Hope it doesn'T happen again.
This toolset with plastic storage box is just what I needed to carry in my dumptruck to make those unexpected repairs while working. The toolset has ratchets and sockets from 1/4-1/2" standard and metric 6 and 12 point and even has 8 point sockets in the set. Which is handy with equipment to check fluid levels. Although it didn't come with any pliers or screw drivers there is some storage space to add some speciality tools to fit your needs. A person can never predict a breakdown this toolset with a few extras added has given me more confidence during my woorkday by adding the security of having the tools to make in the field repairs therefore getting the truck back to work.
