Outstanding value

This is the first brand new riding mower I've ever bought and I have no regrets. After using it for one summer on a 1.5 acre lot, I find it comfortable and durable. I got a piece of rubber fence edging caught up in the drive belt, and was certain I'd wrecked it, but I pulled the debris out and it kept on working fine. This mower sips fuel. A 5 gal jug lasted me all summer. I highly recommend this model for anyone looking for a solid, basic riding mower.

Don't bother!

Had to have a service man come out after using it once. Wouldn't start. Supposedly fixed - band aided. Used it twice after. Wouldn't start again. Service took it away. In less than owning for 6 wks., serviced twice. Wanted to return it, told it's after Sears return policy. No satisfaction from customer service. Stuck with a LEMON and $1400 less in my pocket!

Craftsman Quality

|

I bought this new craftsman mower, thinking I would have carefree mowing for at least a couple of years
The first time I used it a tire split in the middle/ seem! I have had to replace part of the carburetor this year along with a blade engagement cable and now a blade spindle
With Sears telling me nothing is covered under warranty! Craftsman Quality has went to the bottom! This is the fourth new craftsman yard tractor I have purchased over the past 20 years or so, it makes me sad to say that I will never purchase another new craftsman because the workmanship and quality is so poor!
I have a two year old tractor that has always been kept inside and cleaned after each use, but I am going to my local mower sales and trade for something other than a craftsman tractor!  Very sad time for me!

Expensive Piece of Junk

|

Nothing but trouble since buying!!! Didn't even come with picture diagram stickers on it to tell you how to change certain things!!! Upper Drive pulley breaks after less than a year, which took sears more than 3 months to fix, and the camshaft breaks after less than 2 years!!! Didn't realize what was wrong until less than a month after warranty expired!!! Therefore, I have to pay $400 to get it fixed!!! Don't buy this product or anything similar no matter how much the cheaper price might entice you!!!

Do not buy this mower

|

Got this mower 3 years ago. Nothing but trouble. After 1 year transmission had to be replaced. Was told today the engine is shot and can't be fixed. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE.
