Good machine for the price

I have only used my new machine once. I normally use a small tractor with a 60" deck to mow, but it is getting old and needs to be rebuilt. It is a big difference from my previous machine. Overall I am happy with my new mower though. Given the better maneuverability, this machine cuts 2 acres in about the same amount of time even with the much smaller deck. A lot better than I had expected. Build quality seems pretty good so far. The go-pedal is stiff though. After the first hour, begins to get tiresome. By the end of this grass cutting season, either the pedal or my leg will have to break in. Will update my review after I use it a bit more.

Craftsman mower

I received the mower unboxed and ready to go. I have about two acres unfenced with a slight incline in the front of my home. This mower ran well and had no problem or lag on the incline. The hard part for me to get used to is the gas pedal. It is like a cars gas pedal so you will constantly be applying pressure to the right pedal for forward motion. The seat adjusts forward and back, similar to a cars seat; I did not figure this out till I was done mowing. Once I slide the seat forward, it was much easier to push the gas pedal. I have only mowed once since getting this mower; but I have to get it a good rating to date.

great mower

only having this mower for a month, it has been used quite often with all the rain we have had but it cuts good. The turn radius is very good and
going from high thick grass to shorter grass the mower never slows down. I have about 1/2 acre yard plus. I would recommend this mower. Bought on line and it was available 4 days later as promised.

Would buy again.

If I could change one thing about this mower, it would be the accelerator pedal. I'm 6 foot tall, but still have a hard time holding constant pressure on the pedal.

Craftsman 46" 547cc Auto Riding Mower

My problem is that I am only 5'3" tall, as a woman the seat does not go forward enough for my short legs. The ad said several different seat adjustments but I have to sit on the edge of the seat to reach the gas petal. Also its very stiff changing from forward to reverse. I hope it slacks up.

Purchased Craftsman because of good history.

We still are using a 2009 42 inch craftsman mower! Wanted to update to 2017 46 inch mower. Made another good choice in Craftsman.
