Time is a thing you can never get back but you can make better uses of it. This mower dose just that.
The mower was delivered with 18 hours already on it (my guess is it was a return). Took along time to be able to adjust the mower deck high enough to cut the grass at a level to were it wouldn't burn up. I was able to make a bunch adjustments and finally get it high enough to make a great cut. It looked great. However, I always had trouble getting the thing to start sometimes in 7 or 8 cranks but other times it might take ten minutes just to get it started. I'm not sure if I got someone else's return, which is why it had so many problems. Keep in mind I only had the mower for one week. I returned the mower and I'm going to buy another brand with a better reputation. I've never had any luck with any Craftsman gas powered equipment. This makes it 0-3 and they will no longer be on my list of brands I will buy no matter how good the deal seems to be.
I have had this lawn mower for over 4 years and have 295 hours on it. I have had NO issues with it at all. Replaced blades and changed the oil is all I've needed to do.
one off the best
Wouldn't run from the 1st day! Don't be suckered into a smart mower. They are too smart for anyone to fix! So many sensors!
Zero turn cut mowing time and was very easy to use. This model (917.277780) was made by Husqvarna and handled very easily. Briggs engine had great power and was quiet until it blew a cylinder on the 28th day I had it. Sears was great about picking it up and issuing full credit.
Purchased a new 46" Craftsman zero turn tractor at the end of March and before the end of September the transmission went out and the right lever is inoperable. I called for repair and it took two weeks to get the tech to come look at it. After the tech looked at it and determined that the transmission went out, I went to the store in Elizabethtown to see what they would do about the mower and they basically said that it was nothing they could do since I didn't get the extended warranty, furthermore they made a few jokes that I didn't see the humor in nor did they even offer to give me money to have my yard cut until they could get the parts in which by the way will be another 3 weeks and in the meantime my grass isn't getting any shorter. If this is how Sears and Craftsman takes care of paying customers then I have bought my last Craftsman anything.
