Know how to use Cobalt Drill bits first.......

If you know anything about using drill bits-especially Cobalt bits-you must know that speed is your ENEMY. To use these bits correctly and for a long time, use them at the lowest possible speed on your drill motor, use cutting oil (Rapid Tap I recommend) if you have it handy and TAKE YOUR TIME. Yes they are brittle and yes they will break if you stand on it with your weight and expect fast results. These are worth the money but just use them correctly. They are the only bit I use for drilling Stainless Steel.

Good Drill bits but unreplacable if broken.

The drill bits worked great for me for months, then i broke the 7/64" drill bit when drilling a hole in steel.  I contacted craftsman for a replacement and all they could offer was 10% off a new set.  I am not going to pay $90 for a $2 drill bit.  So im left to having a mismatched or incomplete set which is unacceptable.  They were also unwilling to give me any sort of refund.  I would definately not recommend this set to anyone, they vast majority of the drill bits you can not replace.

You do not have to take my word for it, check this website yourself for a 7/64th cobalt drill bit, you wont find one!!

Bought it as a gift. The drill bit set seems fine. I was looking for bits made in USA and sight recommended these. When they arrived, pkg. says made in China.
