I have used and owned a number of tillers over the years. I searched high and low for one that is simple, not a maintenance nightmare, is durable and powerful enough to deal with the soils here in the Mojave desert. This one fits the bill. If you are looking for a machine that is minus the bells and whistles but plus on durable construction, this is it. The only thing it lacks is the complex transmissions of some of the Ariens and Troy Built machines. In my book, that is a plus, unless you really need to transit the machine in reverse a lot. Comparativley speaking, the price is right, parts are easy to get through local Sears service centers and off the web site. One key selling point for me was this machine was actually in stock. After checking Home depot and Lowes in my area, the only machines they had in stock were floor models that were missing parts. This machine was in my driveway 5 days after ordering and now that I have used it a few times, I am glad I made the choice.
nice
Great for starting the garden to get the soil soft and ready to plant, and also great for plowing it under in the fall
