You can call it a mini tiller, but this a monster; could be graded by me to an equivalent of 450 horse power machine. I used this remove the grass and till a lawn of a quarter acre size. Unbelievable performance, no overheating, no outage. The tines hit rocks several times but remain intact. Got through the project without any mishap! The manufacturer however, could consider increasing the size of the gas tank; may be double the size. The air filter cover keeps opening and dropping off. The screw holding it keeps loosening up due to the vibration. Otherwise, it competes head to head at any level, against any outstanding 4 cycle mini tiller available on the market today. Of course, the price is even better!

Tines should be tighter on the shaft

This tiller starts and runs fine, had no trouble getting it set up. When tilling forward it will jump on hard-packed soil AND when cultivating on previously tilled soil the tiller halts when the tines dig in deep and the skinny wheels sink deep into the dirt. The best way to cultivate with this machine is to pull it backwards (as per the manual). That way is the easiest for me. The tines wiggle slightly on the shaft. This caused a burr along the flat edge of the shaft after some difficult tilling and made the tines extremely difficult to remove. I filed the edges smooth and now it is OK. I only gave it 2 stars because of the loose tines and the skinny wheels. I wish Sears would offer better wheels for this tiller.

The power to rip!

Wow goodbye crabgrass! It was powerful and turned the dirt and made short work of crabgrass. Had to go over it a few times but it did what I needed it to.

Needed to have 3 orders entered and product has not shipped. For the first two orders, the reps very easily issued refund requests and happily entered a new order. On this third and final order, the issue is the same: product sits in "label created" status with no other shipping activity. Now Sears is claiming they cannot issue a refund request, even though the situation is the same as the first two, i.e., product has not shipped. This is criminal! I have to dispute the transaction with my CC company. Very dishonest and expect alot more from a large retailer.
