SOLID VALUE

I have been looking to add 3/4 inch drive tools to my collection. When this ratchet went on sale it was a no brainer. This is a very hefty, solidly built tool. It is going to make my heavy work much easier with the increased torque possible over standard 1/2 drive.

Poor Quality, Made in China

Bought new at Sears and was disappointed when I picked up my order and was handed a China-made ratchet. Arranged to have a new one delivered but that one was made in China, too. The quality on these is very poor, it looks like it is made from pot metal like a cheap discount tool. The ratcheting mechanism is poorly assembled and sloppy, and doesn't give much confidence if you're plannng to use this to break loose bolts or tighten larger drive sizes. You're better off getting the Craftsman 3/4 slide bar while they are still USA-made.

Well made beast of a tool

I have both the older USA version of this and this newer one. The designs appear almost identical. I bought this new one as a backup before they phased them out in favor of the completely different design (round handle, etc.). I can believe this new one will do almost as well as the USA one, and both will last forever.

This thing and some good Craftsman 3/4" drive sockets are so much stiffer and stronger than any 1/2" drive tools. Very reassuring and SAFE to use these vs. a 1/2" tool for high torque applications. If anything breaks, it will not be this tool.

Craftsman 3/4" Drive

Great tool, had one before. Craftsman has a great reputation for durability. Price for their tools is very reasonable and affordable.
