I just bought my second Craftsman cordless screwdriver after the first one provided 16 years of reliable service, even when I pushed it to do heavy-duty jobs on a regular basis! I have arthritis in my hands so I can't use heavy or bulky tools. This screwdriver is wonderful for me to do household tasks and minor repairs! The screwdriver is lightweight but sturdy. It fits nicely in your hand and you can adjust the angle to fit your needs and the space. There is also a light on the screwdriver in case you are working in a dark space. The kit comes with lots of different sized screwdriver bits, an extender, an extra bulb for the light and a nice carrying/storage case! This screwdriver makes putting together furniture so much easier and fixing things a breeze! It's a huge help with so many projects and a bargain at the price! I got so much use out of it for so many years that there was no way I'd be without one. I highly recommend this screwdriver!
Useless after 3 charges. No way to tell when batteries are charged. Charging light stays on all the time charger is plugged in. I realized everything is a throw away today, but was expecting more for $30. Craftsman use to stand for something but not anymore.
Bought to satisfy new job tool list and figured this would last a while until I figured out what I really needed. I like the lockable handle. Light did me little good. Wish it had a trigger safety so it didn't turn on when toting it around in my tool bag. Lasted about 14 months. Definitely not a professionals tool, but my wrists appreciated not constantly turning a screw driver for those 14 months, and when you break it down, $2/month the purchase was worth it. Battery died, wouldn't hold a charge very well. Opened tool up and decided it would be better to just replace the tool. Picked up one of a similar style/shape named after a town in Wisconsin that has changeable LiOn batteries, locking chuck, and thankfully a trigger lock. So this tool did the job I purchased it for. I decided I liked the size/shape of the tool, but for work, I just needed one more durable.
Would be a fine tool for light household/hobby work, but maybe not a tool you rely on too long when it comes to earning your paycheck.
Was not sure about this purchase but figured if it was Craftsman it had to be pretty good. I can't handle my big heavy 18 V like I use to and needed something lighter. When I saw this on on the Sears site I knew it was something I could handle but was not sure it had the power I needed.. Let me just say it is Awesome,,, It drives screws into wood with no problem,.. It holds its charge very well... I love this Screwdriver... I was blown away by all the extras that came with it..and then the great case that holds it all in place.. I can't believe the bargain price of this wonderful little guy.. Just let me say it again... You will be very surprised by the power of such a lightweight Screwdriver. I bought my grandson one so he can start learning to work with wood....If your getting up in age and need a light screwdriver that will drive in screws you need to check this one out. Thank you Sears and Craftsman for your Quality items.
This little cordless drill is pretty cool, I picked it up on clearance for 5$ and you can't beat that. I use it randomly around the house and it seems to hold a charge really good. If given the opportunity to buy again I would absolutely go for it. The light on the front is also pretty handy when working in tight spaces
