Torque wrenches are seldom used but indispensible

If you want to torque your wheel lugs to the correct ft-lb range this is the tool.

Please Do Not Buy!

Do not waste your money. These things are junk. First one I bought did not work at all. The replacement worked for one job and did not the next time I got it out. The third replacement also did not work at all! When I went back to the store I told the associate that the replacement was defective and that I would like a refund. He responded that he did not believe me!!! Then got a manager. Manager was professional but still would not give a refund only a credit. Also be aware these only carry a 1 year warranty even though it is a hand tool... I thought all hand tools were lifetime. Please stay away from this item. I may stick to ***** from now on for my tools.

Old craftsman torque wrench no longer made, and they won't replace!

|

I have a a 3/4 inch torque wrench for which i have had for over 40 years. I've had the wrench head replaced 3 times as the gears are worn out. Now they no longer have that wrench and what use to be life time on all craftsman tools is no longer true. They were trying to replace with a like tool but now they tell me they only have a 1 year warranty.Craftsman was the only tool supplier that I would tool because of there Lifetime Warranty. Now I'm going to have to start buying tools from another supplier that's made in America since on I see that most of Craftsman are made in China and they have changed the Warranty on many item, So Buyer be ware. They change the Warranty at a whim.

broke after a few uses

|

Purchased several years ago and I do not use this tool very often (only used a dozen times or so). Stored properly by setting the torque at lowest setting.

After a few uses the "dial" that adjusts the ratchet mechanism from tightening to loosening stopped working. For a few uses I could still use it after much effort but now the tool just doesn't work for its intended purpose.

I guess I'll use it as a very expensive breaker bar now! Don't purchase.
