I purchased this light since I was tired of the standand fluorescent corded drop lights. I am an auto technician and I use lights multiple times a day, I have used this light for a few hours on a single job and the batteries held in there. It gets into tigher places, projects light much further almost like a flashight and it doesn't get in the way. The only thing I don't like is the instructions say the charging light is red and changes to green when it is charged. Mine stays red and two of my coworkers have the same light and theirs stay red as well.
I bought the light to use in the twin-diesel engine room of my fishing boat. I loved it for about 18 months, then it quit working as the battery would no longer charge. I confirmed this by cutting the battery out, touching wires to (+) and (-) of a regular 6v alkaline battery and it lighted. Unfortunately, the light has a rechargeable battery pack hardwired in, so there is not convenient way to service or replace. Since I owned it beyond one-year, Sears was no help. I thought of inserting the 6v alkaline, but it doesn't fit in the case and would not recharge anyway. Great for the short time it worked, but very disappointed in the lifespan and inability to service battery.
A very good n bright light for what i payed for it lightweight n very hand. A most have in every home or car
It gets the job done
I had the impression this light was the type you could hang on each side of your hood and illuminate the entire engine compartment but it turned out to be a 12" wand. It is real bright, however, and the first time it was used it was on high for 3 1/2 hours straight. It was dimmer, but still was providing adequate illumination.
