This is the nicest bit ratchet set that I have ever owned and it was definitely worth the price I paid and then some. The ratchet has enabled me to work in confined spaces (mostly on printers) with greater ease than ever before. The ratchet is 3.5" long and 1/3" high at it's peak. I counted 60 teeth for 6 degrees of turn. The movement is smooth and the direction lever works well. In addition, the ratchet is all metal and, like most other Craftsman ratchets, is serviceable if you have access to the appropriate snap-ring pliers. The set comes with the following bits: Phillips 1, 2, and 3; Hex 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8; Pozi-Drive 0, 1, 2, and 3; Torx 9, 10, 15, 20, 25, 27, 30 and 40; Square 0, 1, and 2; and the following slotted: 1/8, 5/32, 3/16, 1/4, and 5/16. Of course, the ratchet will work well with any other 1" ferrous bits you have as the magnet is strong and the bits won't fall out. I haven't detected any play in the bit shaft either. The only negative - for me anyway - is the case the set comes in. The case is wonderful actually, but it has a non-removable belt clip on the back side. So, if you want to lay it flat in a tool box, you are out of luck. (Not much of a negative to be sure, but still a little annoying.) COO is Taiwan. I'm not sure know who the manufacturer is.
If you're a tool nut like me, you'll appreciate having this mini ratchet at the ready, replete with a nice collection of driver bits. The ratchet is as cute as bug's ear! If they included "security" bits too, it would be ideal for any vandal/thief.
Note the low-profile aspect of using this ratchet and bits, while good, is still not as good as simply using a 1/4" ratcheting combination wrench (e.g. Craftsman #39230) with a hex bit inserted in the ratcheting end. Where you typically need to wrap a little scotch tape on the hex bit to get a good interference fit.
Outstanding set. Makes getting into tight spaces easy, very well made.
