I just finished assembly of this cabinet. I read the negative reviews but I do not understand reviewers that said that assembly was difficult or the screws won't go in the holes. Mine went together just fine. One reviewer said there were no instructions. Mine came with complete instructions plus, if they had taken the time, the instructions are right here online. When you get the parts out, it's quite obvious how they go together. I cannot find country of origin listed anywhere on the carton or literature but I think that this cabinet may actually be made in the US; SAE-sized fasteners are one clue. Like some others, mine arrived in a perfect-condition carton but did have a few minor bent corners. (and some dirty hand prints on a couple pf the panels.)This was no big deal; just straighten them with some pliers and a block of wood to protect the finish. It is sheet metal with out the benefit of an actual frame. Of course, if had an angle iron frame like the really heavy-duty commercial cabinets, it would cost 3x as much. Love the cabinet; I wish I could afford about 3 more! Pros: Well made, easy to assemble, sturdy, nice looking cons: shelf arrangement / configuration is somewhat limited.
If you are a perfectionist I would not recommend you purchase this cabinet site to store. We waited for over a month for it to come via store to truck over and over until it finally got here. The box was messed up and full of dirt, and the cabinet was very badly beat up and bent in 4 places and scraped bad on the silver handle. It looked like the cabinet box had been dropped hard on both ends and sides a multiple of times getting here. The front bottom end was so bent and curled up that it took pliers to pull it back down enough to get it together. The only reason we did not return it is because I am elderly, arthritic, and weak, and unable to get the 126 pound box back to the store. I drug it off the truck, but was unable to lift it back onto the truck, so we kept it. It is nothing to be proud of for us, or for Sears. You may have better luck if you pay for shipping and let a delivery service handle the delivery instead of Sears.
Other than the door being misaligned the cabinet is solid. I have bought over three of these cabinets and I am looking to get another one.
One door was missing the handle trim and hardware assortment was incorrect. I called to ask for replacement trim and hardware. I was told I must return the entire unit to the store in order to address the issues. This is not satisfactory, given I have assembled the unit (with some incorrect hardware). While it is disappointing that the unit was not complete, i do understand that things happen. It is more disappointing that Sears will not make this right by shipping the missing pieces to me as opposed to asking me to bring the assembled cabinet to the store before addressing the issue.
I used your product to put my mechanical stuff specially my service special tools (SST) and my other stuff too.. it's a big help for me.
I was not happy due to the fact it had dents on the side and steel is not as strong as it should
