I bought this blade hoping that it would do a better job at mulching than my original blade. It does do a better job but the mower itself still doesn't work well. I haven't tried it with the bagger yet. The mower couldn't even shoot the clippings into the bag before.
Bought this blade and thought it was ok. I mow weekly either bag/mulch one or another. One week my neighbor went out of town for a short trip and her grass got around (6') high before I decided to cut it for her. This blade kept stalling my mower even on the highest setting I had to keep raising mower to keep it running. It was then I realized how bad this blade really is. So I ordered a real Gator blade and tried it out. Although I noticed right off how much nicer the cut was, after I tested it in tall grass I realized this Craftsman blade is extremely inferior to a real Gator blade. Night/day difference with price about the same on both blades. Shame on Craftsman!!
I bought this as a replacement for a 15+ yr old mower.
Performance went up significantly and mowing became a pleasure
Mulches leaves up as big as your hand. There should be an extreme munching blade for every mower.
