This Craftsman blade is unlike the standard blades you can get. It is made with heavy gauge steel and made in the U.S.A. I noticed after the first use there was less lawn clippings and leaves on the ground with only one pass. This blade is the only blade I will ever use again during the summer then in the fall I put on the Craftsman 21'' Advanced Dethatching and Bagging Blade sears item number 07133054000 both well worth there price.
After 11 years, I decided to purchase a new blade. This blade was a mistake. Not only did it not mulch the grass into smaller pieces, it left a nice trail of long blades down the middle of the path. It's not like I let it grow for weeks before mowing. This was only four days of growth. I thought maybe cross-cutting the lawn a second time would help mulch the hay paths the blades left behind, but it didn't. If I would've been smart, I would've kept the receipt and returned the product after the first path. I expect more from Craftsman products. Most of my equipment and tools are Craftsman, and now I'm giving serious consideration to taking my business and money elsewhere. Incredibly disappointed. In the future, paint the blades BEFORE they're sharpened, not after. This blade is duller than the one I purchased with the mower more than a decade ago.
Does a great job Mulching grass clippings so small no bagging neede it is almost a green powder that I blow off of my driveway and walkway
I love this blade, I currently have it on my mower and wanted to order a back up. Although, I was shipped someone else's item. Not quite sure when I will get my correct package!
Just keep it sharp and you will be amazed.
