Bought this to add to an 09' model LS2000 42" that I own. There are several reviews about it leaking onto the top of the deck, and it does but not to a degree that concerns me. There's way less water than if you'd simply taken a hose and sprayed the underside. As far as cleaning..... It's not going to knock off a season or two's worth of build up, however if installed on a new mower deck or one that's been scraped of dried grass/mud, it will keep the deck pretty clean if used after each mowing. Overall I give it 4 stars as it could be designed so as not to leak but still a nice addition to my mower. If anyone cares, the drill bits included are U.S. made and the hose connection and spray nozzle are German. The 3/8 and 7/32 bits are decent enough to be used again after installation of the washer assembly.
Spraying the inside of the deck with water seems like it should keep things nice and clean but this product leaked all over the TOP of the deck, putting water in areas that should not get wet. Needs a better, leak-proof snap-on fitting. Even if it worked properly, do you really want to saturate the grass that always builds up on the deck underside? You end up with a dense layer of basically mud that won't dry out for days while rusting out the deck. Better to leave everything dry and just scrape the deck a few times a year. I do not recommend this product.

|If you are prepared to wash underneath your mowing deck each time you use it, this deck wash kit is the way to go. If you don't wash under your mowing deck each time, you will have to resort to chipping off the accumulated muck and that certainly isn't as safe as simply hooking up a hose to the deck wash kit.
I will be buying over and over, Since they keep breaking.
|Good product but not durable. Die cast part snaps off easily. I have to replace a broken one.
Be sure it fits your mower if the deck has a pre-drilled hole.
|The part that was sold to me does not fit my mower. I had to return it because they did not have the one in stock that fits my pre-drilled mower deck. I'm sure the actual product is fine.

leaking on the top of the deck
|I bought a new riding mower from sears with the washing kit installed. When I turned on the water, it leaked everywhere on the top of the deck. I had to clean the top of the deck (not easy). I asked sears to send a new wash kit, but not arrived yet (sears said it would arrive within 10 days, but now 10 days have passed)
