My last craftsman mower lasted 16 years and never had anything but routine service. It never went to the shop for repairs. It had the Eager One engine. I was disappointed to find this engine no longer available. This mower has a B&S engine and after only 2 uses, seems to be fine. Started on the first pull once and the second pull the other time. Mulches great. I really like the self propelled mower. Never had that before. Have not yet used the bagger. I bought this to go where my tractor can't, and so far am very happy with it.
Started out great, easy to start. Half way through first season the mower was barely running. Took it into the story for warranty repair. Was told it could be three weeks to get repaired because they only pick up the week and ship it out of state for repair. I get a call from the repair center saying I had a broken fly wheel, but I would have to pay for thing not covered by warranty. They said I needed a new spark plug, air filter and mower blade as well which aren't covered by the warrantee. I think they are just trying to make money on parts not covered by the warrantee. I told them that I had bought a new spark plug, air filter, and oil trying to fix the problem the day before. This is the last mower or power equipment I will buy from Sears. Have been a customer for 35+ years.
Only worked for 1 season and during that season i only used the about 6 times.
Sears cannot honor the warranty on this product because they do not have vendors that will check it out or repair it. Money thrown away.
worked great the first time...now wont start...cleaned out the carb and still wont start...dont buy it
Worked well when it worked but didn't work for long had to return it. Multiple customers were returning the same mower when I did. Not recommended
