Awesome mower

Last year I bought a new but cheap mower. Took forever to put together, parts broke, bla bla. This year it wouldn't start. Bought this. Arrived in 1 day. Surprised that setup took all of 10 minutes. Had to check instructions 3 times to reassure myself. After putting in oil and gas....now this is the awesome part....it started on the very first freaking pull. WOW. FWD took a bit of getting used to. Lawn was done in half the time and I wasn't heaving like Homer Simpson. Very happy with the results. And this from a guy who hates yard work.

DO NOT BUY - Dead after one season

Mower worked well for one season. Stored over winter and the PLASTIC carburetor gummed up the jets and it will not start. 2 year warranty is useless (and extremely difficult to nail down a place to take it to) as they state it is a fuel problem. Ethanol gas kills the cheap plastic carb. even when using less than 10% ethanol. I will never buy another mower that has a plastic carburetor and recommend that you avoid them, as well. This engine is designed to fail. VERY disappointed in Briggs & Stratton.

DO NOT BUY THIS = pure headache. Does not last.

|

Bought this, used it 7 times over 13 months on our small, slow growing yard. Then it died. Seriously.

My wife called and was promised a manager would call her back within 48 hours to discuss options, but that we'd probably have to drive 3-hours each way to have repaired in an "official shop." They never called back.

We then paid $75 to have a professional small engine tech look at it, and were told "the carb is plastic ****, and this motor simply will not last." Of course, then when I called after all of this Sears refused to help me because I was a month over the 12-month warranty.

Please do not waste your money.

My faith in Craftsman is dead, and I'm beginning to understand why they're having to close so many stores...
