Ordered Sunday, arrived Wednesday. took less than fifteen minutes to assemble. Add oil and gas. Adjust arms and mowing started up first pull. Mows very good. A lot lighter than previous Craftsman mower and easy to operate. Highly recommended.
I had older version of this lawn mower and it was easy to start easy to use so when handle broke and blade dented from a rock I decided to purchase this updated version on sears.com ship to my home. I purchased it on sale with expiring coupon&points with SYW. It arrived in a box obviously repackaged. Upon opening it to put it together it was obvious it had been returned. Upon further inspection it was missing bolts to put the handle together & the casing on the top of the lawn mower over pull start was shattered pieces all over bottom of the box. So I thought ok I just need the replacement parts easy enough so I contacted customer service via phone. Customer service told me they can not replace the parts but I can buy them from craftsman. Uhh no this is new shipped to me damaged by sears.com why should I pay for replacement parts? So she then told me I can return it to the store get a refund, but it’s to large to fit in a car hence why I ordered and had it shipped to my home. I asked if they could send me packing slip to return this one and send me a new one they said NO. No? So then I asked her even if I return it to my local store would they be able to honor the price points coupon etc since by now they would be expired she said NO I would have to return and rebuy it at current price which means I loose $127 on the lawn mower over easily replaced parts. What? So then she tells me if I bring the lawn mower to the store they will see what parts it needs and give them to me. ok really I mean what are they going to do take it off a floor model and again how will I get it there? So I told her I was contacting the local store while on the phone with her and we would ask the manager together she refused. so then I told her to send email through my account stating my local store was obligated to hand over replacement parts at no charge she put me on the typical sears customer service infinity hold that times out after about 40 min and hangs up on you. What horribly poor customer service what a scam this company is how can they not honor their own mistake so I have a brand new broken lawn mower I contacted local store and 2 other non local stores and they do not let you walk in there and demand parts they would however order the parts for me I still end up paying for parts on brand new never used machine. Go to ******* Lowe’s or ********** even ****** honors replacement for items that arrive broken. This company deserves to go out of business
This mower from day one which was April 2019 smokes both white and black. Yes I checked the oil. The designer of the bag catcher must be a practical joker. This thing spits out debri from the top, side, and even front of the mower. I’m 65 and have always owned craftsman mowers. Never again. Makes my intent to purchase a Kenmore washer and dryer over and done. What happened Sears?
