Good set. Great price...because...

I'll say first that I love the Universal sets. I've got these, the ratcheting wrenches, and a few others. Started picking them up as an easy well to tell my Craftsman tools apart from my dad's and my buddy's. If its Craftsman and its black, its mine. They are very solid tools and I really don't have a single complaint about function. Only reason they didn't get 5 stars is the same reason they are lower priced than some of the other Craftsman tools out there. They are made in China. While I hate seeing jobs leave, the tool quality at least in the sets I've purchased doesn't really seem to have suffered so I can't fault them in function. I would have paid more for them to have seen them made here. That being said, I'll continue to buy them until I start seeing issues with quality...and if I do, they still carry a lifetime warranty so...

Not The Craftsman I Use To Know!

I tried this on a 7/16" 4-point plug and it didn't fit. I had to use a 1/2" socket which was slightly loose, and it slipped off, stripping some the grooves in the socket. So, I tried a 13mm and got the same results and ended up with a rounded head on the plug. Now, I may have to pull the generator out of the truck if the Craftsman sockets I own for damage head bolts can't get the plug out.. The set looks great and has a nice feel to it. But, if it could not get that small plug out, what will it do with larger and tighter nuts and bolts? I don't plan to find out! I am return the great look, bad idea socket set back.

have it

The sockets are JUNK, stripping bolts and nuts. The grip is not 6 or 12 point but like 20. So small I can't even count them. Horrible grip.
