This is an ausom jack. I don't know why it has such a low rating. In the directions before using this jack it says to bleed it. There is air in the jack because of shipping. With that being said if you don't bleed it before use you will blow the seals. This will cause it to leak oil and not lift like it was designed to do. Just follow the simple directions that come with the jack and you won't go wrong.
Followed the set-up instructions for bleeding the valve. Jack worked well for 3 months then it started leaking and dropping under any load. Used in a homeowners garage, so nothing heavy was ever lifted. Worst part about it the Sears store would not stand behind the product and told me to bad.
Very heavy and slow in the lifting process
This 4-ton jack has held up pretty good since I bought it. You can’t beat it for the price.
My old one died, I ordered this one two weeks ago, but never got it. Seems to be the same story these days. Sears used to be great with internet orders, much less so today.
important to read how to use this safely - we needed the 4 ton capacity and low profile - craftsman quality
