Nice Leaf Blower

I bought this recently, and have only used it a few times. Out of the box, read paperwork, installed nozzle, filled tank with ETHANOL FREE fuel mixed with my favorite oil (Kawasaki Jet Ski Oil) at the recommended ratio. Primed it, choke on, and started right up. Carb seemed a tad lean as set from the factory once it warmed up a few minutes I retuned the carb about 1/4 turn richer on both the high and low speed screws (I have the tools to do this) Once the carb was tuned in, I shut it off and restarted it several times very easily. I then noticed the Troy Bilt Power Starter hangin on my wall fit perfectly !!! The other day I needed to blow off the deck of my riding tractor, primed the bulb, installed power starter hit button and instantly started up and performed great. I rated 4 stars ONLY because I havent used it long enough to rate longevity. I used my Stihl leaf blower the other day, and have to say I prefer this Craftsman due to easier starting and ligter weight with variable speed control vs the Stihls on/off speed control.

Wanted to love it, I really did

I bought this to replace a 6 year old Craftsman 25cc blower with the same air flow ratings. This was bigger at 27cc. I got the blower, it started right up but man, the power just "blows". Seriously, this thing isn't half as powerful as my old one and it didn't even have the cheater, shrink down nozzle on it. My old one had almost a second stage to it so when you applied throttle it'd really kick in like an old 4 barrel carb would. Very disappointing and no clue how this has such great reviews. Sure it started right up but it should do that. The specs are way off, I set a dried leaf on my garage floor about 12' out in front me and this thing wouldn't even move the leaf. I mainly use my blower to blow grass off concrete after mowing and really that's it. It's pitiful. Not sure exactly who is making the current crop of "Incredi-pull" stuff for Craftsman (they don't make their own) but the last weed eater I got was awful as well. It's also cold blooded, takes 15 seconds or so to warm up to where you can even full blast it. My old blower, once started, took maybe 3. I should have kept my old one. I cycle my power tools before they start needing maintenance. Selling my incredi-pull junk weed eater tomorrow. Hopefully they select a better manufacturer on the next contract. To me this gets one star, the power spec is way off from 200mph

This is a powerful blower. Would have given it 5 stars but it required carb air/fuel mixture adjustments. I have a grass trimmer with the same motor and similar problems. I don't blame Sears. It's govt. emissions bull****. I had to buy a special tool for it on ******.
