I was unsure whether electricity and water could be a safe combination but this power wash works like magic right out of the box. Single-button engine operation. I had no problems whatsoever. Set-up and operation are amazingly easy and this electric-power design eliminates the unreliable crank-driven motor of other models. I had a great experience washing the mildew off the house with this pressure washer. Didn't run into a safety issue with the water, just keep the cord away from the spray which is easy to accomplish with this well-designed tool.
I bought this product a few months ago and just had a chance to use it recently. After two days of usage it completely died and will not power on. After calling Sears multiple times to try to figure out the best course of action for repair, I was referred to repair centers that refused to work on the unit and told me they only work on gas powered pressure washers. After contacting Craftsman directly, someone finally told me that all electric pressure washers should be exchanged completely and not repaired. I've been trying for weeks now to get this unit replaced and all Sears have been out of stock with it. I have also tried multiple times to call multiple Sears to get an update on if the item is now back in stock, and I have not been able to get anybody on the phone. STAY AWAY!
Have used my pressure washer 3 times now. During 2nd use I noticed that the hose had a pin hole leak. Upon further inspection, I noticed that the hose's exterior had been rubbed off from friction on the cement driveway that I was cleaning. Have owned other pressure washers and never had this experience before. Just bought a replacement hose. I think the machine will be a good one and feel like it is well made (love the cart that it can attach to)....guess Craftsman went with cheap hose.
