This set is awesome. It replaces all of my toes wrenches and allows me to put together many things with my cordless drill.
NOT the best quaility tools, but a well rounded set when on sale for half price. It is the same low quality as the individual sets at a much cheaper price. They also left out one size and replaced it with another of the same size in the set. I had to purchase another set and return this one to get all the sizes listed on the package.
Standard mechanic sets do not usually have all the hex and torx bits needed to work on modern automobiles. This set is a terrific add on to your tool set!
In the 1950's as a kid I learned my small mathematical fractions by handing Craftman end wrenches as well as sockets to my dad and brother as they worked on and rebuilt cars. So naturally when I needed power or hand tools, I bought Craftsman. The finish and durability as well as a return policy was hard to beat.
Operating with the idea that there is a tool for every task, over the years I have bought Craftsman tools as needed. Until recently, I have gotten by with inexpensive 6 point wrench sets, never having a complete set, or one that could last. I saw the Craftsman 43PC Bit Socket on line, on sale.
*The first red flag, was the product was for sale on line only. I like to feel and see first hand what I'm buying. Sears retail stores didn't stock this set.
**A plus is Sears is continuing its Warranty Unlimited.
*Second red flag, was after receiving via UPS (wait time was reasonable), outside of cheap looking box, was marked MADE IN CHINA...
*Third red flag which I can and will live with.., is the finish is subpar compared to other Craftsman tools I have.
*The cheap plastic container of 43 pieces won't last long either
As a note to possible buyers of the 43 PC Bit Socket Set. For me, I'm pretty sure it will work, just be sure you know what YOU are getting.
This was a gift I bought for my husband, I think he likes it just fine.
Comes with 1/4,3/8,and 1/2" bits.
