Never got my tools. I guess I'm just out 450.00, right?

not as good as my older.....

|

I ordered these so I would have some extra tools which would allow me to have a toolbag to carry with me in my truck as well as to have an extra toolbox at work. The set arrived and immediately I could tell that this set had either been returned or someone had opened it up and opened the boxes/bags with the tools in them. I have counted several tools that are missing and am currently making a list of the items I did not receive. I am hopeful that Sears will do the right thing and provide me with the missing tools. Otherwise they are good tools but there is a definite difference in the quality vs the set I bought 25 years ago. I suspect that these were made in China. Only time will tell. I work on lots of tough machines so I'll know pretty soon if they are as quality as my older ones.

Excellent starter set

|

This is an excellent mechanics starter set. I feel it is very complete for most any mechanical wrenching one would encounter. The only fault I'd give is that the hex wrenches come loose without a holder. I also purchased a Craftsman 4-drawer toolbox. This tool set fills it nicely with a bit of room for additional tools.
