Purchased this sweeper on the 4th of November and it arrived on the 9th. Had some issues putting it together as the instruction manual called for 5/16" bolts and nuts in various sizes. Out of 12 bolts and 12 nuts identified in the manual as 5/16", all were 1/2". When putting the various parts together, the bolt heads become almost recessed with the various tubing parts, making it VERY difficult to tighten the nylock nut. Suggest you use washers under the bolt head. The drawer tubes (the parts that form the tongue) are not marked Left and Right. They should be, as they are formed to be installed to a specific side. The ends of the draw tubes where the hitch is to be installed should be square, so the hitch will sit flat. Also, you might want to provide caps for the open ends of these tubes. The hopper bag was pretty hard to install over the tubes and really requires 2 people to accomplish. I finished assembly in about 2 1/2 hours and had to wait a day to use it. It worked pretty much as I expected and did an acceptable job on the leaves. When full, the bag is quite heavy and I would advise wearing gloves as the rope to lift the bag digs into your hand. Also, I noticed you have to leave the bag up and pull forward about a foot after dumping it to expel material in the brush area. Since the drawer bar is short, it's tough to back up into the leaf pile without several attempts to bring the sweeper in straight. Other than these concerns, I am satisfied with the sweeper and finished my 1/2 acre property in about half the time it used to take me with the lawn tractor and bagger. A real improvement!
this is a wonderful piece of equipment ! i had one prior to this that wore out but this is wider and takes me less time to clean up my yard . i have almost an acre with many trees so the ari- fab is like an extra hand to me! only complaint is that instructions could be improved.
Oh, my. We dumped about 50 loads from our yard of leaves and sticks after a storm and not raking our yard completely last fall. It worked great.
I am so glad I purchased this. I have lots of oak trees and the piles of leaves were huge. This is so easy to just drive around the yard, dump it, and drive around some more. It does take some time figuring out the best setting to do the yard. I find it best to set the sweeper on the lowest level after I have "finished" and spend 3-5 miutes doing a final pass over everything to get the last bit of leaves and acorns and pine needles. Putting it together was a pain, but worth it.
I have it for about a month used twice so far so good for grass it works ok not tried on leaves yet but the few in yard before all rain it grabbed from what i have seen from mine i would recommend it
I BOUGHT THE SWEEPER ABOUT 30 DAYS AGO, WORKS GREAT, LOTS OF LAWN CLIPPING
