Craftsman tools are one of the top brands in the world. Life time guaranty makes them a great value.
I ordered this set as my son had purchased this last fall and I was impressed with the set for the price. I ordered the set and it arrived quickly. Unfortunately, it was packed horribly, the parts were out of the drawers and the sockets and other parts were all over the bottom of the box. The case was missing a part that kept the drawers closed. After an hour of sorting I found out some of the sockets were missing. The receipt said I could return this to any store. I went to the Sears in Moorestown NJ and was promtpty told they could not accept it. I had to go on line first which I tried to do from my phone. The Sears.com/returmmyorder did not work from my phone. I then, after looking for quite some time, found a phone number to call. I am still on hold with them after 38 minutes. I have since come home, went on my desktop PC, went through their return process, printed out the return slip and now have to drive back to the store. I have no faith that they will accept my return even with this slip. Angry? You bet. The ease of ordering on line and having the tool set delivered to my home has gone out the window. As soon as this is returned, one way or another, I will delete my Sears app and never purchase from Sears again. All of my tools in my garage are Sears - my mechanics set I bought 40 years ago, my table saw, drill press, circular saw, you name it. Its a shame this once great brand treats its clients like this. Oh, and for the record, I am at 44 minutes on hold with Sears Customer Service. Unbelievable.
I opened my tool chest and the first thing I saw was a 7/16 deep well socket with no markings. The only reasong I know what size it is , is because it is stamped on the case. These tools feel cheap. I am so sad to know that craftsmen is gone, now its chinese stanley tools. I ll go to ************** foor my tools for now on.
