The biggest disappointment in this kit is this ad is misleading. The ad plainly states it is 12 feet but the box is clearly marked 10 feet. Working with a 10 foot hose does not allow for too much range and requires moving the vacuum frequently The kit works ok but it would have been better if it was the same diameter as the regular hose. It tends to get plugged at the nozzle if there are any twigs that are down. The hose is made of heavy weight rubber which hopefully will last a while.
Absolutely love the yard vac itself; great machine. But the attachments (bag and hose) are weak, poorly made. The company sent me a replacement bag after my first usage (seams in original bag burst). The ribbed hose has ripped repeatedly after my first couple of uses ... and they want $161 to replace it? I'm going to look for an alternative. Way overpriced and the hose UNDER performs.
I have not used it yet , but I feel comfortable with the design, and I know it will do what I plan on doing with it.
They could make a quick connection to hook up to the machine plus the hose should be same size as machine hose
I have the Craftsman leaf vacuum attachment for my riding mower. It is a well built piece of machinery but is just did not seem to be much of a fit for my property. Using it to gather leaves was a bit more of a chore than I ever expected it would be. Then I got the bright idea to use the riding mower to direct the leaves into an elongated pile and then use the vacuum with this attachment to collect the leaves. The just riding, mowing, collecting, and dumping thing just wasn't working for me until I started using this hand held attachment. It is actually well. Oh, and it does a wonderful job sucking up leaves from the plant beds.
I purchased this item to go along with the yard vacuum. This really helped to get the leaves along the fence where the vacuum didn't reach. Definitely saved time and well worth the money!
I use my vac year-round to pick up grass clippings and this attachment hangs in my barn, unused. But when the leaves fall this hose is indispensable for digging out out all of those leaves that blow into my wife's garden beds and up close to the house. The length is OK, but on my list of things to do when money becomes available is buying another just to use the hose to double the length so I can get at more places while parking my tractor & vac in one spot. If you look around the web, you'll find that most folks sell just the hose for more than Sears charges for this thing.
