Awesome saw at an awesome price

Used this saw to make several cuts in base board and trimming. I've also made a few plywood cuts, and done some minor scroll work with the saw. It works great, plenty of power and it's easy to control. I would recommend purchasing the 10 pc. craftsman blade set along with the saw since the included 2 blades are rough cut wood & metal. Selective orbital action is also a great feature.

Very disappointed

Shaft holding blade wobbles such that it's very difficult to get vertically straight cut. Barely used tool. Bought Craftsman to replace one I had for 20-30 years. Check it yourself: Just grab the shaft & shake to see how loose it is in the tool. Verry, very disappointed with Craftsman!!

First impressions

I just received this jigsaw. My first impression, without having used it yet, is that it's balanced, seems well made and I like the roller stabilizer. However, the base plate is stamped steel, not the cast aluminum stated in the description (I'm in a sea-side environment where steel rusts, so this was one reason I purchased this model). The description also states the shoe is a polymer and, of course, it's not. On whole, this looks good given the low cost, but the proof of the pudding will be how it performs. I wish the "Would you recommend to a friend?" included a "Maybe" response.
