Good Storage, Better Value

I am very pleased with this toolbox. I have a much older one similar to this one, but the top section has 4 drawers. The ball bearings are a great improvement when you start getting heavier drawers. For the price, I was a little bit cautious, in fear of the toolbox being weak or flimsy, but I am glad I was wrong. It seems well built, but only time will tell. For my use, this toolbox was a great addition to the one toolbox that was getting over full and becoming a mess. I am a heavy do it yourselfer and have many tools to do quite a range of jobs. I don't believe in buying $1000 toolboxes just to have some monster of a chest to dig through. With 2 average size toolboxes and some shelves, I have more than enough room. Now that I bought a second toolbox, I can be a little more organized and add even more tools. All in all, I feel that this was a good buy, and if you are just a homeowner who has a basic set of tools, this will serve you well. For a mechanic, it serves me well, but it is all about your preference. If you are going to be slamming drawers carelessly like some, maybe you should be looking for something a bit more heavy duty. If you take care of your stuff like I do, this should work well.

Ball-Bearings ****

Bought this item, when I got it home and partly assembled, I discovered the roller bottom drawer slides had lost the Ball Bearings. The parts were there, but I couldn't repair my new tool box. The box I received looked OK, but the tool box had small dents, the top was stored in the bottom section. Bolted in and one of those was damaged also. Returned the cheaply made item.

disappointed.

tool center is okay. It was late, had to wait. It did not arrive on their arrival date. Also, corner was damaged and gliders on drawers were not installed properly. We had to fix almost everything as we put it together. Sears did not even send confirmation E-mail or notify by phone. I understand why the are closing stores.

Zero communication. You don't tell us when we're going to get our merchandise. There's no emails. There's no updates. No wonder, you guys are going out of business.

A GREAT starter tool box for the beginner and professional mechanic alike!

This toolbox is ideal for anyone looking for a high quality tool box! The drawers have bearings for smooth opening and closing. The gloss black color will keep this box from showing any greasy handprints, etc.

Cheap tool drawer

|

I bought this knowing it would be cheap tool storage and I was okay with that.
That said, I don't hate it; it does help organize some tools.
I also don't love it.
It was cheaply made from thin metal.
They haven't, but the drawer handles feel like they're about to snap off every time I open a drawer.
The lock is inconvenient to use. There are two metal pieces that must be put in place each time. The good news is I never lock it so I don't really mind that aspect, but if I were to lock it regularly I'd hate it.
The top drawers are about 3/8" too short to accommodate most drawer organizers I've seen. Most of the organizers I see are 16" x 11", and the top drawers are about 16.5" by 10.5". That's super annoying.
Overall it's not a terrible little storage system if you want something very small for cheap, but I expected a little more than this.

Craftsman 5- Drawer Black Standard Duty Ball Bearing

|

This tool box combo looked like great a great bargain. After I got it home from the store and assembled my tool box. It dawned on me just how much of great value I have in this tool box combo. Strong sturdy and it will give me years of durable service. Not the biggest tool box but a great box none the less and will hold my mechanic tools safely.

Quality at a great value

Bought this unit for my son to organize his bike tools and parts. Its a great tool organizer, not too big with ample storage and of high quality for the price.
