I saw this on sale today at my local Sears store. They round out the set of 6 that I had bought earlier at Kmart that was really on sale. These are the larger size 1/2" drive pieces that fit in the empty slots in the case that came with the 6-piece set. I have not used these yet, but if they are equal to the 3/8" drive (six piece set) that I have used before, they are a good addition to my tool box. What I really like about these bolt/ nut/ stud removers is that they can be used like a socket, with a ratchet of the correct size drive, or they can be driven with a wrench from the outside. This makes using them in difficult places quite a bit easier. Even though these tools have the finish common to impact tool, I would strongly reccomend wearing safety glasses when using them. The amount of tourque that can be generated while removing a damaged fastner can be tremendous, which could lead to either the fastner, or the tool to break. A Craftsman tool, made in the U.S.A
There's no warranty on this item, and you cannot buy them seperately. They do work most of the time, but if you break one, ( I did using a long handled ratchet, not an impact), you are SOL. Wouldn't waste my money on it.
Did not remove the caliper bracket mount bolt that I was attempting to remove. In fact, these bolt removers were stripped in the process so now they are just round sockets.
Maybe they would work much better on lesser torqued bolts but did not for my purpose.
These tools are of excellent quality and are backed by Sears. I recommend them.
