Great tools. Terrible customer service. No one spoke English and this is the United States. They could care less about me or how they represent your company. It was all we could do to get anyone to help us and when they did they left my toolbox on the curb unattended while I went to get the truck. I have some craftsman tools that are over 50 years old too bad your employees aren't as good as your product. Pathetic.
Remember when you could depend on the Craftsman name. It just meant quality. I still love their tools but, I don’t know about these tool boxes anymore. I bought this 52" 10-Drawer with the top unit. No problem with the top. After I unpacked the tool chest and moved everything in position, I discovered 5 drawer tracks in the roll around were not in there slots, in the rear of the cabinet. This made the drawer flex downward about 6 inches when you put modest hand pressure downward. Because of all of the work it took to move whole tool chest into place, I decided to fix it myself. The drawer tracks are held in place, by a slot in the front and rear, of 2 vertical brackets. To repair it, you must drill out a pop rivet, which is supposed to retain the track. Reposition the track in both front and rear V-track and install a rivet. If you have the appropriate sized drill-bit, drill, punch, hammer, pop-rivets and P/R gun...This is the tool box for you! The repair and metal shavings clean-up took my about 45 minutes.
Although I was emailed it was ready for pickup and I drove an hour to get it, it was not at the store. Called customer service and they cant tell me when they expect it. I have to wait 24-48 hrs for an email. Now I am understanding why Sears and Kmart are having problems keeping customers. This discourages any further online orders.
Ordered this chest online and picked it up from my local store. Upon inspecting the chest I found many areas that were dented and poorly assembled. Both ends of the chest were dented. Drawers had dimples/dents in them.
Lugged it back to the store for exchange and return. Store manger confirmed that it takes about 3 weeks to get the replacement. Sears has 30 days return policy and they almost denied my exchange because I had ordered the chest close to a month ago online. By the time it actually arrived at the store and for me to pick it up an entire month had passed.
Sears needs to get their act together.
It’s perfect - great purchase! Got it for my fiancé for Christmas and he loves it. Easy to put together.
Toolbox itself is not horrible. There are however no full length drawers so anything you have longer than 25 inches must go in top or somewhere else. Also top of cabinet is a giant waste of space. Good luck returning as Sears is out of stock on literally every toolbox they have online larger than this box.
