Bought this originally in a 3 pack with other pliers. Basically they are the best pliers around. Only reason I bought a second pair is becasue i cant find the first ones. Hope they pop up soon so i can have one for the basement and one for the garage
First, this product is made in USA by Western Forge in Colorado Springs. This forge has been a Craftsman supplier since its inception back in 1965 or so. Best quality pliers for price. Comparable to Wilde or Channellock slip joint pliers in both quality and price. If you need a pair of pliers for home and yard repairs and don't want to spend ton of money on Snap on or Knipex, you can't go wrong with this WF pair of Craftsman pliers. They will last a lifetime. But look for WF made in USA mark. Craftsman does sell cheaper Chinese made pliers that are not of same quality.
I'm always wary around this type of tool, but Craftsman is the only tool company that figured out that these pliers should latch onto bolts and plumbing, not the stretch of skin between your thumb and index finger. Smooth and tight joint movement, with grips that keeps your hand on the tool rather than flailing about before the pliers hit the floor. I'm certainly biased in favor of Craftsman, but this is a must tool for your toolbox.
They are ok.
