Beautiful Table Top

I have 2 of these tops. They really attract attention. I have one on my craftsman bench module and one sitting on top of a custom bench I made with 2 matching craftsman tool boxes. These are heavy, which means they are solid. Well worth the money. The stainless will scratch up, but they still look great. After all, it's a garage, it's not supposed to look perfect. CAUTION: This top will cut you, badly.

I just got back from the hospital, many stitches on the top of my hand from walking passed this surface. The bottom edge of the table facing you has NOT been machined, and is extremely sharp. I am lucky I did not damage the tendons on the top of my hand from this incident. I really like this table, other than the obvious defect, and have used a file to make my the table safe to use again, but anyone that has purchased or is thinking of purchasing this, please take a look at the bottom of the stainless edge facing you, it may be like mine and extremely dangerous. Sears / Craftsman, you may want to send an email to your customers letting them know of this issue, before more people get hurt.

Great Value Top

Stainless sheet metal over MDF. Nice heavy top because of the wood which makes it super sturdy. The stainless provides oil and water resistance over the wood alone.

Excellent product

I purchased this stainless steel top to replace the worn out cheap top my bench came with. Everything installed perfectly. No sharp corners on the bench top I received. Very solid heavy duty piece. It does scratch easily but I don't mind that.

My husband Loves It

My husband was is the market for his first work bench. We were a little apprehensive about getting a steel top as his old was the butcher block wood. This is great, and easy to clean. After a month of use it still looks brand new. Craftsman brand is the best!

Solid work bench

I was going to make a solid wood bench until I came across this. I opted to get the stainless steel top which gives a nice touch. If I were to get a basic top it would have easily code the same amount as a wood bench however wood needs to be bragged where this one was all bolt together and is really sturdy.
