I have to say that this new cordless trimmer that Craftsman has put out works alot better than their prior cordless trimmer. I have owned both cordless trimmers now and have to say that I can definitely feel and see the difference in these models. I have to say that I am very satisfied with this product so far I feel the added power helps in reducing alot of time and definitely gets the job done. Although I will have to get used to this new trimmer it has definitely surpassed my expectations.
Don't buy this if you are a shorter person! The shaft length is super long and no adjustment. This leaves it horribly unbalanced and uncomfortable to use. It is quite heavy with that huge battery and I cant find a balance with that long shaft to get any relief.
I have used the trimmer several times so far. I like it because it is so easy to use - no mixing/spilling/storage of fuel. Always starts. Easy to load. Enough power to do its thing. Battery lasts for my entire job (I have a rather large yard, and trim the front and back on different days).
I purchased this item in July 2019. I tried to order replacement spools. I used the part number from the owners manual and could not find the part. I called the support number from the SAME PAGE of the owners manual nd spoke to an assistant who told me they did not have any information on that part. This person googled the part number and told me I could get it at ******! For heavens sake! I went to ****** and did find the part, but it was unavailable. So, therefore, not sure Sears is supporting this product any more. I then decided to return the product. I took a copy of my order from my account on the sears.com webpage. The WOULD NOT return the product unless I had the original receipt because the receipt apparently has a "return code" on it. The webpage order has a "salescheck" number on it, however I was told they could not look up that number.
1. Sears does not appear to be supporting this product any more. If I cannot get parts, it is worthless to me.
2. Sears was no help to me in solving this issue.'
3. Sears DOES NOT provide the same level of customer support they have provided in the past.
I have purchased Craftsman tools and mowers and trimmers exclusively in the past My Mattress is from Sears. Most of my clothes are from Sears. However, today, I am DONE with Sears permanently. NO customer support and I am not happy with this situation at all. They get a one-star rating today only because I was not allowed to submit this report without at least one star..
