I have two Craftsman black rubber hoses that I bought in 1973. They still work great and never kink though I have replaced an end due to a lawnmower. They are thick commercial quality and could probably be used as a tow rope if needed. These new hoses are much lighter weight and will kink--maybe because they are more flexible. The new hoses are GOOD quality but not near the GREAT quality of the older style. They are better than vinyl hoses and the ends are high quality metal--just not brass. I have used the old hose for drinking for 40+ years and have not suffered.
This item is listed as containing cancer causing chemicals and warns not to drink from the hose, and to wash your hands after handling. I returned it immediately after reading this on the back of the label.
I had one for several years and I had to buy one more to replace 25 years old contractor grade.
This one performs better with it’s exceptional quality.
Not happy at all. Hose kinks in many different places as you pull it out. You have to roll the hose like an extension chord as you pull it out to keep it from kinking. you should not have to do that. Save your money and get a better quality heavy duty rubber hose.
The hose constantly leaks where the two are joined together and where it attaches to house, Rubber washers don;t help. White foam continues to come out of hose, has killed some plants.
This is the first hose I have bought where its walls don't fall apart and get all entangled up
