Nice little saw!

Picked this saw up because I was sick of lugging my 12 incher around.  It's all the saw I need 90 percent of the time.  Put a 60 tooth finish blade on it, and it cuts like a Lazer.  Good quality not, like the makita, but go buy 4 of these instead!  Leave them in various locations!  Will be my "main" saw from now on.  Blades are cheap, interchangeable with circular saw...part of the minimalist aproach,  try a 7 1/4 blade in your 10 in table saw...awesomeness,  Lazer smooth.  This saw is super quiet, and smooth also, not like a rocket taking off...more like a surgical instrument.  If you're doing window casing, filler, shoe, ranch style moulding and are using a bigger saw, please switch now, trust me!

Bummer - loose part(s) in the box

The design and ergonomics look excellent but the build quality seems abysmal. Brought one home, unpacked it and there was a small metal part laying in the bottom of the box - a thin, flat, quarter moon piece of metal about 1/4" wide. Returned it - brought home a second miter saw and an identical metal piece was in this box PLUS a small hinge pin from the miter position lock. This is not good. I am a life long Craftsman guy will be buying another brand of miter saw. VERY DISAPPOINTING. There is no excuse for this shoddy lack of quality control.

Great features, size, shape and weight

Took this out of the box to find that the slide bearings barely moved and put it back in the mail right away.

Easy to use and portable. Great for the home handyman. Doesn’t take up much space in the shop when not in use.
