This tool is an excellent value, especially when on sale. Prospective buyers need to be aware that this model is not variable speed. The former version of this corded impact wrench, which I believe was discontinued in April or May of 2012, had a variable speed trigger. The Description for this tool still states, "With a variable speed, you can easily choose the right speed to suit the job at hand", which is misleading, and should be removed by Sears from the description. So, while this tool is an excellent value and a great performer, if you need variable speed, you need to look elsewhere.
I had bought this impact 7 months ago and used it four times on light duty bolts and nuts. well today it broke, the motor runs but the 1/2" drive will not turn at all.
Nobody is happy to buy Chinese made tools...especially me. I was in the market for an electric impact wrench and read a LOT of reviews. I bought this solely on the fact that I got it from my local Sears store that's closing. Got it for $90....which is less than HF even. It is fantastic for what I use it for around my home garage. Haven't met a bolt it couldn't handle yet. Lawn mower blades to lug nuts to rusty bolts that have been in place for decades. Great tool for the money.
This was essential in a lot my recent major repairs to my truck
good for using at home without buying air compressor
