I've used these loppers for 2 weekends now cutting trail. They cut great and the extendable handles is a nice feature I didn't have on my previous loppers. If you have to buy a pair of loppers make sure you get ones with a compund action feature.
The lock on the extendable handles become loose really easy. I had to keep locking them as I was working. It made my gardening frustrating. And, I wasted alot of time locking the handles.
cuts well but two problems:
1. handles will not stay locked well when extended
2. one handle cracked when trying to cut a branch. thought Craftsman didn't require sales receipt. They do for these tools so I'm out a tool.
I love these. You can reach just about anything with the extendable handles and the curved blade helps to make close cuts. They're made really well. The handles are strong and the blade is sharp.
Since it is Fall I have not use it but by the looks of this item quality is A -. The - is for the telescoping handle that seems flimsy when extended.
It's a heavy duty pruner, we like everything about it except the extendable handles. If only they would lock in place while cutting, it tends to come undone for some reason. With that being said we intend to keep it anyways we will use it a lot.
