Excellent price - Great product thus far

I bought/ordered this snowblower on Thanksgiving evening from my local Sears store after checking out the display model. I really like this product. It is exponentially better than the single-stage 2-cycle YM brand one I had previously. It doesn’t come with a powercord. That’s not a big deal for me, but for some, you may want to know that info. I've used it twice so far and haven't had any issues with its performance at all. It starts right up every time electrically, however, I can't get it to start via the pull cord, unless it’s already warmed up. For the price, you can't beat it with a stick. To be fair though, I did get it at a door buster discount. I highly recommend it after the couple of times I've used it. One complaint I have is the metal skid plates scratched up my driveway on the pre-snow trial run, so I raised them up. I wish I could have the skid plates all the way lowered down without scratching up the concrete. On other models, they seem to achieve this by having plastic skid plates. I suppose I could buy plastic skid plates separately, but I don’t like to buy something then physically be forced against my will to purchase add-ons after the fact. Thx for reading, I hope this helps.

Didn't work right out f the box!

I was so excited to get this ast such a great price but then it didn't work right out of the box! It appears to be seized up. The worse part is I can't get a replacement nor can I even get anyone at the local Woodbridge store to answer a phone to see how and where I am supposed to return this to! I even call the 800 Craftsman line and the message said they were not available and not sure when they would be!

horrible

Such a horrible purchase experience
I bought the Craftsman 88433 22" 179cc Dual-Stage Gas Snowblower on 11/20/2017.
However, when it snowed we wanted to use it but it doesn’t work! It’s broken! I didn’t even use it a single time!
I called the customer service center and they told me to return to store any time. However, the snow blower is huge and it was snowing hard outside. I asked the customer service if I can send it back when the weather gets warmer. The representative told me she maked a note under my order and I can return it whenever I am ready.
When I go back to the store, they told me I can’t return it there! And I can’t mail it back. This snow blower is broken without being use. Please advise me what I can do with this. I want to return it.

Not the biggest, a solid buy if you need a 2 stage with a small footprint.

I was able to get this snowblower at a very nice price right before BlackFriday at a SYW/member price. It was very easy to assemble with basic hand tools. I have used it in many types of snow, from 9 inches of heavy wet,to 3 inches of dry powder, to fresh wet snowplow berm. The only real trouble is the light weight of the blower if you try to go to fast into the heavy berms. It has started every single time on a single pull of the starter. I use only ethanol free gas, of which it uses very little, the tank holds about 1 quart, and I've filled it once and refilled it once about 5 hours of use. Make sure to take a little air out of the tires for better traction. Don't expect $1000 performance and you'll be good.

Great machine!

Really hated to spend the money (600.00 or better) on a snowblower. Kept procrastinating. Read about alot of brands around that price. *****, ********** and other stores. Still hated to spend that money for a few storms. So, last nov. I was in sears and just decided to look at snowblowers again on my phone and up came this machine for 399.00. Did a quick read theough about it and clicked buy. Thought I would have to wait for it to be delivered to the store but they had it in stock. I was a little skeptical about people saying that it would start right up out of the box once you put in gas but it did. Second pull and it runs like a champ.two major storms later and large driveway, two ramps and decks and wide pathway to basement and gas tanks, quickly cleared with this machine. Awesome.
